Dr. Clinton Normore serves as Chief Diversity Officer and Assistant Professor at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences (ATSU), where he provides strategic leadership for one of the nation's most comprehensive diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives in graduate health professions education. He also serves as faculty for the Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) and the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH), teaching behavioral science and preparing future healthcare professionals to serve increasingly diverse communities.

As the University's inaugural Director of Diversity and former Vice President for Diversity & Inclusion, Dr. Normore has been instrumental in transforming ATSU into a nationally recognized leader in inclusive excellence. He directs institution-wide DEIB strategy across ATSU's seven graduate health professions schools and the College of Graduate Health Studies, with campuses in Kirksville and St. Louis, Missouri; Mesa, Arizona; Santa Maria, California; and online programs serving students globally. His leadership extends beyond the university to ATSU's extensive network of community health center partners, advancing the institution's mission of improving healthcare access for underserved and vulnerable populations.

Under Dr. Normore's leadership, ATSU became the first graduate health professions university in the nation to receive INSIGHT Into Diversity's Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award, while also becoming the first to earn the distinction in consecutive years since 2017. His visionary leadership also contributed to ATSU receiving the 2025 INSIGHT Into Academia Champion Award. The University's innovative Dreamline Pathways™ Program has earned the prestigious Inspiring Programs in STEM Award annually since 2021, reflecting Dr. Normore's commitment to expanding educational opportunity and building the healthcare workforce of the future. In addition, ATSU's nationally recognized branding campaign, "Diversity Means More Than Hue," received recognition through the Cynopsis Social Good Awards for its impactful messaging and commitment to social responsibility.

A nationally respected authority on diversity, inclusion, cultural competence, and organizational change, Dr. Normore’s expertise spans strategic planning, organizational development, leadership development, workforce diversity, cultural proficiency, civil rights compliance, and inclusive excellence. He collaborates extensively with university leadership, governing boards, faculty, staff, students, healthcare organizations, corporations, and community partners to develop sustainable strategies that strengthen institutional effectiveness and organizational culture.

Dr. Normore was mentored by the late Dr. Ben Harrison in organizational development theory and systems design and has continued to build upon that foundation throughout his career. He is a trained civil rights investigator, a certified Campus Security Authority, and was selected as a National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities Scholar in 2015. His professional service includes leadership roles with the St. Louis Diversity & Inclusion Consortium, the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE) Awards Committee, and the American Dental Education Association's Commission on Change and Innovation in Dental Education. He also serves on several corporate and nonprofit governing boards.

Before joining ATSU, Dr. Normore served for more than a decade at Oklahoma City University, where he was Director of Multicultural Student Affairs. There, he supervised multicultural and international student programs, advised numerous student organizations, and developed innovative recruitment and retention initiatives that significantly improved student success. He created an undergraduate scholarship program focused on inner-city and American Indian students and launched a highly successful pre-matriculation Summer Bridge Program that increased retention and graduation outcomes. During his tenure, he also led long-range diversity planning initiatives and served as President of the Oklahoma Diversity Officers Practitioners Consortium.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Normore has delivered keynote addresses, executive leadership workshops, and professional development programs for colleges and universities, healthcare systems, corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations across the United States. His engaging style, strategic insight, and practical approach have established him as a trusted advisor and thought leader in organizational transformation and inclusive leadership.

Beyond higher education, Dr. Normore's professional journey reflects an exceptional breadth of leadership experience. He has served as a police officer, entrepreneur, public school educator, athletic coach, and collegiate basketball coach, including as assistant coach for Oklahoma City University's 2012 NAIA National Championship Women's Basketball Team. He was also a member of the University of Kansas' 1988 NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship Team, an experience that helped shape his lifelong commitment to teamwork, excellence, resilience, and servant leadership.

Dr. Normore earned a Doctor of Education from A.T. Still University, a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., where he serves as Chair of the Fraternity's Committee on Community-Oriented Policing, continuing his lifelong commitment to leadership, service, mentorship, and community engagement.
